How late you can stay
In 2026 the beaches were open until 4:00 on the 24th. Cleaning machines start at that time and people are asked to stay off the sand until 9:00; the beaches are ready again by around 8:30.
Firewood and rubbish bags
The City Council hands out firewood for the bonfires on the afternoon of the 23rd, plus bags for rubbish. Taking away what you bring is the best help to keep the beach clean in the morning.
Getting there
The tram to the Malva-rosa and El Cabanyal stops and the EMT buses are the easiest option; the transport map shows real-time arrivals. In 2026 there were also four Puntos Violeta on those beaches to help with harassment or sexual assault.
