What short films are being screened

The documentary session of XIV Autors en curt features four short films by creators from the Valencian Community, selected by the SGAE Foundation and the Escriptors de l’Audiovisual Valencià (EDAV) association. Highlights include Microcosmos. Un gabinete de curiosidades by María Lorenzo (experimental animation) and Esto está frío by Iván Fernández de Córdoba, which addresses the precarious conditions of food delivery workers. The programme also includes a work by Gustavo R. Cuneo on popular rituals to measure indigestion or the evil eye, as detailed in the official cycle programme.

Who is taking part and what to expect

The short films are presented by their creators, who then engage in a Q&A with the audience. The free session is part of the cycle’s four themes (drama, comedy, horror and thriller, and documentary) and is open to live-action, animated, or mixed-media works. The event is organised by the SGAE Foundation and EDAV, reaching its fourteenth edition in 2026.

Timing and access

The documentary screening will take place on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 18:00 at the SGAE Centre Cultural in Valencia. No prior booking is required, but seating is limited.
