What are the Listening Sessions: Meet the Composer 2026
The Listening Sessions: Meet the Composer 2026 are a public listening forum within the XII International Film Music Congress, organised as part of the 41st Mostra de València-Cinema del Mediterrani. This pioneering event in Spain brings together five audiovisual music composers to showcase their styles, creative processes, and sound universes to industry professionals. According to Palau de la Música, the aim is to foster co-production opportunities and artistic collaboration between Spanish creators and Mediterranean filmmakers.
Who is taking part
This edition will feature five composers with established careers in feature films, documentaries, and animation projects:

- Tomás Santibáñez
- Nerea Herreros López
- Manel Brancal
- Isabel Royán
The event is exclusively for professionals and students in the audiovisual sector, who will have the chance to interact with the composers and representatives from the international industry.
Access and requirements
Admission to the Listening Sessions is free, but prior registration via the Palau de la Música website is required. The session will take place on 8 November 2026 at 18:00 in the Sala García Navarro. This initiative is part of the València Film Afers: Meet the Composer 2026 programme, running from 8 to 11 November in Valencia.
