What is the Jove Big Band Sedajazz
The Jove Big Band Sedajazz is a youth ensemble from the Sedajazz collective, made up of over 20 musicians who are either in training or recent graduates. This concert is part of the Voluntari Jazz cycle, an initiative that links jazz with volunteering to highlight values such as listening, empathy, and teamwork. According to Sedajazz, a big band is the perfect example of musical collaboration, where each instrument contributes to create a collective sound.
Programme and duration
The Jove Big Band Sedajazz’s repertoire includes jazz standards and original arrangements, adapted for a large ensemble. While the exact duration of the concert is not specified, big band performances typically last between 60 and 90 minutes, featuring a varied programme that may include swing classics and contemporary pieces. The Voluntari Jazz cycle also aims to connect with the audience through social messages, so the concert is likely to include brief interventions on the value of volunteering.
