Concert Programme
On 21 January 2027 at 19:30, the Orquestra de València presents a concert at the Sala Iturbi of the Palau de la Música de València, as part of its symphonic subscription series. The programme includes:
- Gioachino Rossini: Overture to William Tell.
- Sergei Rachmaninov: Variations on a Theme by Paganini in A minor, Op. 43 (with Denis Kozhukhin on piano).
- Ottorino Respighi: Fountains of Rome, P. 196 and Pines of Rome, P. 141.
The concert is conducted by Jaime Martín.
Rachmaninov’s work, composed in 1934, consists of 24 variations based on Paganini’s Caprice No. 24. The estimated duration of the concert is approximately 90 minutes, without an interval.
