Programme and artists
On 6 February 2027, the Sala Iturbi at Palau de la Música in Valencia presents a symphonic concert as part of its subscription series. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, based in Amsterdam, will perform under the baton of Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä, its chief conductor since 2022. The soloist will be violinist Lisa Batiashvili, a Georgian artist with an international career that includes collaborations with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre de Paris.
The programme features two works:
- Jean Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47 (1899–1904). Composed in three movements, this is the Finnish composer’s only concerto for violin and one of the most performed works in the Romantic repertoire.
- Hector Berlioz: Symphonie fantastique, Op. 14 (1830). A programme symphony in five movements that musically narrates a story of obsessive love, inspired by the composer’s own life. Its approximate duration is 50 minutes.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 19:00 and will last approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including an intermission.

- €15 (most affordable tickets).
