What is Soul In The Kitchen
Claudia Polo, author of the books Entorno: Un libro para cocinar con lo que te rodea and Mañanitas: desayunos y rituales (Destino publishing house), presents her Soul In The Kitchen project at CaixaForum. The talk explores how cooking can be a space for connecting with health, culture, and the environment, promoting mindful and creative eating. Polo draws on her personal experience—"dancing in the kitchen"—to discuss daily rituals, our relationship with food, and the impact of our choices on the planet.
Programme and approach
The event will focus on the pillars of Soul In The Kitchen: creativity, sustainability, and well-being. Polo will explain how to transform local and seasonal ingredients into dishes that care for both the body and the environment. She will also address the importance of food rituals, from breakfast to shopping, as tools to reconnect with what we eat. The session will include references to her books and practical examples of her methodology.
Timing and duration
The talk will begin at 18:30 in the Àgora at CaixaForum Valencia. While the exact duration has not been confirmed, these types of events in the Encuentros con... series typically last between 60 and 90 minutes, including a Q&A session with the audience.
