What is Basura Post-Punk
Basura Post-Punk is an alternative music session centred on vinyl, curated by Sergio Rotman —former member of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs— and Asia del Sur. The event revolves around post-punk, dub, punk, glam and analogue electronics, played exclusively on 12” records at 45 rpm, LPs at 33 rpm, and 7” or 10” formats. Organised by Central Eléctrica Discos, the proposal aims to revive the raw sound and underground aesthetic of these genres.
Who’s performing
The DJ set is led by Sergio Rotman and Asia del Sur, two key figures in the Latin American alternative scene. Rotman, known for his work with Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, El Siempreterno and Cienfuegos, and Asia del Sur, from the Prado Town collective, are in charge of the musical selection. Additionally, the Valencian band Los Darwin —playing alternative rock and punk— will perform live, closing the night with a set.
Schedule and access
The event starts at 8:00 PM at 16 Toneladas. Entry is free and no prior booking is required. The venue, with a capacity of 250 people, usually opens its doors half an hour before concerts begin, though schedules may vary. Check how to get there on the 16 Toneladas venue page.
