What is «Pilots»
«Pilots», by Valencian company La Finestra Nou Circ, is an outdoor show blending physical humour and contemporary circus to inaugurate the 33rd Mostra de Pallasses i Pallassos de Xirivella. Five performers —Mari Marcos, Luis Reché, Dayné Álvarez, Alberto Vidal and Olga Osuna— play eccentric pilots arriving with their pedal-powered vehicles in search of the perfect spot for a whimsical race. Between unexpected twists, impossible unicycles, extravagant bikes and spontaneous audience participation, they improvise a competition where chaos and physical skill merge with absurdist humour. Directed and produced by the company itself, the performance lasts around 60 minutes with no intermission.
Where and when to see it
The show takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at 12:00 in two squares in Xirivella: it starts at Plaza de la Ermita and moves to Plaza de la Concordia, where the race concludes. It’s the first of seven free performances programmed by the Mostra in public spaces during its 33rd edition, running from 22 October to 22 November with a total of 12 shows.
Who’s performing
The company La Finestra Nou Circ, based in the Comunitat Valenciana, presents this circus and visual theatre piece. Founded in 2010, it combines acrobatics, clowning and collective creation to explore hybrid formats between stage and street performance. In «Pilots», the five performers —all trained in circus arts and physical theatre— improvise choreographies with non-motorised vehicles and everyday objects, inviting the audience to join the action.
Access and requirements
Admission is free and no prior booking is required. The show is designed for all audiences, with no age restrictions. As it takes place outdoors, comfortable footwear is recommended, and attendees should follow the team’s instructions for safe participation. In case of rain, the organisers will announce changes to the location or cancellation via their social media and the Ajuntament de Xirivella website.
