What is Out of Bad Luck
Out of Bad Luck is a new blues and rhythm & blues project uniting Danny Boy, a musician from Valencia, and Martín Hury, from Buenos Aires. Their live set spans a broad repertoire of classic North American Black music: from the sounds of Chicago and Texas blues to West Coast jump blues, the genre’s most danceable variant.
The concert is part of La Fábrica de Hielo’s programme on Wednesday 18 November 2026, during a week when the Cabanyal venue also hosts other cultural events.
Who’s performing
Out of Bad Luck takes the stage as a quartet: Danny Boy and Martín Hury at the front, backed by an experienced rhythm section featuring Fran Moreno, from Altea, on bass, and John Craver, from Santa Cruz (California), on drums. The mix of origins—Valencia, Argentina, the Marina Alta region and the Californian coast—is central to the project’s identity.
Where the concert is
Out of Bad Luck performs at La Fábrica de Hielo, an independent cultural space near Cabanyal beach that combines music programming with a bar and kitchen. More details about the programme are available on the venue’s website: lafabricadehielo.net.
