Programme and artists
On 23 October 2026 at 19:30, the Orquesta Nacional de España (ONE) will perform at the Sala Iturbi of the Palau de la Música in Valencia, under the baton of David Afkham. Violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann will be the soloist in a programme featuring:
- William Walton: Violin Concerto in B minor (1939).
- Sergei Rachmaninoff: Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27 (1907).
Walton’s concerto, composed for violinist Jascha Heifetz, is a technically and lyrically demanding work structured in three movements. Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, lasting approximately 60 minutes, is one of the composer’s longest works and is renowned for its recurring melody in the third movement.

Tickets are available exclusively at the Palau de la Música box office from 23 September 2026, with prices ranging from €9.50 to €19, depending on the seat location. Online sales are not available.
