What is «Neuronas que cantan»
«Neuronas que cantan» is a performative solo created and performed by Val Germain, exploring the inner consciousness of a woman marked by two traumatic experiences. Lasting 45 minutes, the piece combines physical theatre, voice, and sound elements to craft an intimate and poetic narrative about memory, pain, and resilience. According to the company Meinhof-Germain, the show uses the body and sound as tools to "sing" from the neurons—from the deepest layers of human experience.
Who performs and directs
The performance is delivered by Val Germain, a multidisciplinary artist of Chilean origin based between Valencia and Berlin, whose work spans theatre, performance, and sound creation. Direction is by Carmen Meinhof, co-founder of the company Meinhof-Germain, who shapes a minimalist and evocative scenic proposal. The production, rooted in Valencia, Germany, and Chile, reflects the diverse influences that define the Novembre Dones festival.
