What will be performed
The concert on 6 November 2026 at the Teatro Ateneo is entirely dedicated to Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K. 626, the composer’s final work and one of the cornerstones of the symphonic-choral repertoire. This is a requiem mass written for orchestra, choir, and soloists, where the choral passages take centre stage.
The performance coincides with a time of year traditionally dedicated to remembrance and honouring the deceased, giving the work a special significance in the calendar. The Ateneo presents this event as an immersive symphonic-choral experience.
Who is performing
The Orquesta Sinfónica del Mediterráneo is the ensemble behind this production, under the artistic and musical direction of Juan Antonio Ramírez. According to the Ateneo’s own promotional materials, the performance brings together an orchestra and choir on the stage of the Teatro Ateneo. The concert is sponsored by Power Electronics.
