What is Embolic
Embolic is a wordless clown performance created and performed by Pau Palaus. Through ropes, threads, glances, and gestures, the artist builds a poetic game that invites laughter and unravels emotional knots. The show forgoes verbal language to convey serenity, freedom, and a desire to play, turning the stage into a space of complicity with the audience.
Who is performing
The performance is directed and performed by Pau Palaus, founder of the eponymous company. With a career focused on clowning and visual theatre, Palaus explores non-verbal communication in Embolic, using his body and everyday objects—such as ropes—to generate humour and reflection.
