What is «El pisito»
«El pisito» (1959) is a Spanish film directed by Marco Ferreri and Isidoro M. Ferry that portrays with irony and rawness the struggle for housing in post-war Spain. Shot in black and white, it blends comedy and drama to critique real estate speculation and the living conditions of the working class. Based on the novel of the same name by Rafael Azcona, the film is a classic of Spanish cinema and a benchmark of the dark comedy or Spanish neorealism genre.
