An evening of flamenco and symphonic music
On 9 July 2027, the Palau de la Música de Valencia will present a unique interpretation of El amor brujo, the masterpiece by Manuel de Falla, at Sala Iturbi. Flamenco singer Marina Heredia will be the leading voice of this concert, accompanied by the Orquesta de Valencia under the baton of Alexander Liebreich.
El amor brujo, composed in 1915, is one of the most iconic pieces in the Spanish repertoire, where flamenco and symphonic music merge to create a dramatic and passionate atmosphere. The version performed at this concert is the adaptation for symphony orchestra, allowing the audience to appreciate the full instrumental and emotional richness of the work.
Marina Heredia, recognised as one of the greatest voices in contemporary flamenco, will bring her unique style and deep connection to cante jondo. Born in Granada in 1980, Heredia has taken her art to international stages, collaborating with orchestras and artists from various genres. On this occasion, her interpretation of El amor brujo promises to be a tribute to flamenco tradition and Spanish classical music.
