What’s being screened
«En construcción» (2001), directed by José Luis Guerín, is a documentary capturing the transformation of Barcelona’s El Raval district during the renovation of a building. The 125-minute film blends realistic observation with a narrative exploring urban memory and social change. It will be shown in original version with Spanish subtitles, as per the cycle’s programme.
Time and access
The screening starts at 6:00 PM in the Rectorate’s Auditorium (Building 3A) at UPV. Entry is free until full capacity, with no prior booking required. The cycle, coordinated by Javier Moral Martín and Paula Cardells Mosteiro, is supported by the Institut français de Valencia.

Dijous de pel·lícula is a film dissemination space that, in its 2026-2027 edition, offers a journey through contemporary Spanish cinema. The programme alternates recent releases with key works from past decades, such as «La isla mínima» (2014) or «Barrio» (1998), to analyse traces of modernity in today’s cinema.
