What’s being screened
The Dijous de pel·lícula series at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) features the film «Barrio» as part of its exploration of contemporary Spanish cinema. The session is included in the Huellas de una sombra series, which showcases recent and classic Spanish films without a fixed chronological order. The screening will be in original version with Spanish subtitles, as organised by the series.
Time and access
The film will be shown on 12 November 2026 in the Main Hall of the Rectorate (Building 3A) at UPV. Entry is free until full capacity, with no prior booking required. The series collaborates with the Institut français de Valencia, though it’s not specified if this session includes additional content such as a post-screening discussion or introduction.
About the series
Dijous de pel·lícula is a film screening initiative that avoids preconceived judgments about Spanish cinema. Its approach is random and personal, blending recent releases with films that have shaped Spanish cinema history. The sessions, coordinated by Javier Moral Martín and Paula Cardells Mosteiro, aim to offer a diverse perspective, from realism to more experimental works.
