What is Big Van. Monólogos científicos
Big Van. Monólogos científicos is a science outreach show that brings science to the stage with humour and rigour. Created by the Big Van Ciencia team, made up of scientists and researchers, the performance aims to spark scientific curiosity and promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) vocations in an accessible and entertaining way. It is not a lecture or a class, but a theatrical format where humour and performing arts are the tools to bring complex concepts to the general public.
Who performs
The show is presented by Big Van Ciencia, a collective of scientists, researchers, and science communicators who have been touring stages since 2013 to make science more approachable. Their approach combines academic rigour with entertainment, and they have participated in events such as Naukas, TEDx, and science festivals across Spain and Latin America. In this session, the team delivers stand-up routines that tackle scientific topics from an original and fun perspective, without sacrificing precision.
