On 25 June 2027 at 19:30, the Palau de la Música de València presents an extraordinary concert featuring two iconic works from the symphonic repertoire. Pianist Dmitry Shishkin and the Orquesta de València, under the baton of Julio García-Vico, will perform An American in Paris by George Gershwin and the Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Programme
The concert is divided into two parts:
- First half: Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, a 35-minute work combining technical virtuosity and romantic melodies.
- Second half: Gershwin’s An American in Paris, a symphonic poem of 15-20 minutes evoking the city’s atmosphere with jazz influences.
The total duration of the event, including the interval, will be approximately 70 minutes.
