The CC Escorxador Cultural Centre presents the second edition of the book Tradición(able), a handcrafted work compiling personal, family, and community traditions from the Cabanyal neighbourhood. The free event will take place on 1 October 2026 in the historic 1910 former slaughterhouse, now a cultural space.
What is Tradición(able)
Tradición(able) is a project born under the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme, supervised by Emilio José Martínez Arroyo. Designed as a handcrafted book-object, it gathers silent memories and traditions that have shaped Cabanyal’s identity. This second edition aims to expand the project, incorporating new community voices and experiences.
Event programme
The event will include:
- A talk with Emilio José Martínez Arroyo, explaining the project’s origins, development, and goals for this new edition.
- Readings of selected excerpts from the book, illustrating its content and approach.
- A signing session, where attendees can interact with the author.
