A creative and meeting space for women from the periphery
The Centre Cultural Escorxador will host from 22 to 27 September 2026 the workshop «Barris en femení des de la perifèria», an initiative by the association Red SembrEU aimed at women from the neighbourhoods of Cabanyal and Tendetes. The goal is to create a space for dialogue, learning, and empowerment through three practical and collaborative sessions.
Workshop structure
The workshop is divided into three sessions, each with a different focus:
- Sharing experiences: The first session will be dedicated to exchanging life stories, desires, and perspectives on the neighbourhoods. A space to reflect on the identity of Cabanyal and Tendetes from a female perspective.
- Animation technique: In the second session, participants will learn the basics of stop motion, an animation technique that allows creating short films from still images. They will work on producing collective pieces.
- Closing and sharing: The final session will be used to share the short films created and evaluate the experience. A moment to celebrate the creative process and strengthen bonds among attendees.
Practical information
The workshop is free and will take place at 18:00 at CC Escorxador. To participate, pre-registration is required by sending an email to escorxador.actividades@gmail.com, as places are limited.
