A night under the stars
Les Nocturnes d’Estiu is the night planetarium series that L’Hemisfèric programmes every summer. The session on 1 September 2026 (20:00) is one of the last chances to attend before the season ends on 3 September. The show, lasting 50 minutes, combines fulldome projections with live explanations from a planetarium guide.
Session content
The activity is structured in three parts:
The summer sky live: The planetarium guide teaches how to recognise the constellations visible in summer (such as Cygnus, Lyra, or Scorpius) and the brightest stars (Vega, Altair). They also explain how to use the night sky for orientation, following traditional methods.
Saturn and the solar system: The projection brings the audience closer to Saturn and its rings, as well as moons like Titan or Enceladus. Nebulae and star clusters are shown to illustrate the scale of the universe.
Special feature: Total solar eclipse 2026: Until 12 August, the session includes a segment on the total solar eclipse crossing Spain that day. Safety measures for observation and the best locations for viewing it in totality are detailed.
Practical information
- Language: The session is held in Valencian, though L’Hemisfèric usually offers headphones with a Spanish translation.
- Recommended age: From 6 years old.
- Tickets: €7 per person. No discounts are specified for children, seniors over 65, or groups.
- Booking: Tickets are available on the official L’Hemisfèric website and at the box office, but availability for the 1 September session is not guaranteed.
