What is Versos Solidarios
Versos Solidarios is a benefit recital combining poetry and music for an evening dedicated to supporting Nadia, a trans colleague who has faced legal costs following an LGBTIphobic attack. Entry is free, but a consumption is requested to help cover the venue’s expenses. Additionally, donations—either in cash or via Bizum—will be collected during the event, and second-hand books will be sold. All proceeds will go directly to Nadia to assist with her financial recovery.
Who is taking part
Eight artists will perform altruistically at this ninth edition. While the final line-up for 30 September hasn’t been confirmed, previous editions have featured poets and musicians such as Ana Sánchez Anguix, Versobia, Paula Escrig, Hilda Pérez Rodríguez, Atlas, and Victoria. After the performances, there will be an open mic—anyone can sign up by sending a message in advance or registering at the event if spaces are still available.
Schedule and access
The recital starts at 20:00 and is expected to finish around 21:30. Entry is free, but a consumption is required during the event. The venue is accessible (with a ramp), has an adapted toilet, and allows dogs. Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available for consumptions.
