What the event covers
"Líneas de pensamiento" is a dialogue between painter Jordi Teixidor and sculptor Robert Ferrer i Martorell, focusing on their artistic practices within abstraction. Moderated by curator Amparela Benlliure, the event will delve into their creative processes, influences, and approaches to space, light, and material in contemporary art.
Background of the participants
Jordi Teixidor (Valencia, 1941) is a key figure in Spanish abstraction. His work, developed since the 1960s, incorporates elements of abstract expressionism and minimalism following his stay in New York in the 1970s. He has exhibited at institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofía and the Fundación Juan March.
Robert Ferrer i Martorell (Valencia, 1985) works in sculpture and installation, with a focus on geometry and spatial perception. His work engages with Spanish and Latin American geometric abstraction from the 1960s and has been exhibited at galleries like Espacio Valverde (Madrid) and the Museo Francisco Sobrino.
