What is being presented
Writer Alejandro Palomas returns to the Diálogos Cañada Blanch to present his novel Casa (Espasa, 2026), an intimate story that delves into childhood, memory, and the emotional bonds between generations. After winning the Premio Nadal in 2018 for Un amor, Palomas crafts in this work an emotional map through silences and the traces we leave on those around us. The novel reflects on what remains when the familiar breaks and how home transcends physical space to become an intimate territory where we can truly be ourselves.
Who is taking part
In the dialogue, Alejandro Palomas will be joined by Lola Samper, bookseller at Gaia, and Nuria Cuenca, co-founder of Librería Shalakabula. Both will discuss with the author the central themes of Casa: the bonds that sustain us, the places that shape us, and the creative process behind the novel. They will also explore how nature, memories, and the observation of everyday life inspired this story.
How to attend
The event will take place on 14 October at 19:00 and is free, though prior registration is required for in-person attendance. It can also be followed live on the Fundación Cañada Blanch YouTube channel. No additional registration requirements are specified, but checking the foundation’s official website for details is recommended.
