How does Poetrix work?
The Poetrix format is simple and collaborative. Attendees—whether seasoned poets or first-timers—can read their own poems or those by other authors in a relaxed setting. The session is divided into two rounds:
- First round: Each poet reads a poem by another participant, assigned at random. This dynamic encourages the discovery of new voices and connections among attendees.
- Second round: Poets read one of their own poems, and can invite someone else—a fellow poet, an audience member, or even the whole room—to share it with them.
Throughout the evening, the open mic is available for anyone who wants to join in, whether to read, listen, or simply soak up the atmosphere. You don’t need to be an experienced poet: the event is open to anyone who wants to take part, as long as they book their spot in advance.
