A transformed urban space
Park(ing) Day: Plantem Cultura is a proposal by Falla Mossén Sorell-Corona taking place on 19 September 2026 on carrer Corona. For a few hours, several parking spaces will be turned into an alternative public space filled with books, plants and cultural activities. Part of European Mobility Week, the initiative aims to show how urban spaces can be used more sustainably and with people in mind.
What to expect at Park(ing) Day?
Under the slogan «Entre llibres i natura», the event will offer:
- Reading zones with books donated or loaned by local libraries.
- Workshops and activities related to nature, such as planting native species or talks on sustainability.
- Ephemeral art installations, created with recycled materials.
- Meeting spaces for neighbours and visitors, with live music or spontaneous performances.
Entry is free and no prior registration is required. The exact schedule will be confirmed in the days leading up to the event, but it typically runs all day.
