Migrats Circ 2026 returns to Valencia with a free programme that transforms Plaza Nàpols i Sicília into a contemporary circus space for six consecutive evenings. From 1 to 6 September, at 7:00 PM, the festival presents nine different shows exploring disciplines such as clown, acrobatics, pole dance and aerial arts. Each session includes three short pieces, perfect for enjoying with family or friends, with no need for tickets or prior booking.
Detailed programme
The festival is structured into three thematic blocks, each with unique proposals:
1 and 2 September:
- «A Futile Act of Domestication» (Bert Berg): vertical dance and high-altitude choreography.
- «Máximo Óptimo» (Máximo Óptimo): clown and juggling with everyday objects.
- «Falso Negativo» (Bufoneta and shadow circus): acrobatics and light play.
3 and 4 September:
- «¡Arre!» (Aitor Este): pole dance with a narrative approach.
- «On Comença el Vent» (Laura Soler and Yasmine Boyer): aerial disciplines with silks.
- «Tacones en el Pasillo» (Vaivé Circ students): aerial choreography with live music.
5 and 6 September:
- «¡Tornillo Magic Clown!» (Quique Montoya): absurd humour and clown acts.
- «El Mejor Atraco de tu Vida» (Cía. Espenta): acrobatics, juggling and clown in a 50-minute piece.
Artists and context
Organised by Espai Inestable, the festival highlights artists who have migrated to develop their careers in circus. The short pieces reflect the diversity of contemporary circus, from light-hearted humour to refined technique. After the plaza performances, the festival continues at Espai Inestable with a paid programme and specialised workshops.
