Contemporary circus from a place of vulnerability
Antes de caer is a scenic creation that uses contemporary circus to explore concepts such as risk, fragility, and interdependence among performers. Developed by the collective La Victoria, the piece focuses on the physical and emotional relationship of five acrobats—Miguel Barreto, Pablo Parra, Enrique Navarro, Laia Martín, and Anna Mateu—whose technical work and shared effort create a tension that directly connects with the audience.
Through aerial choreographies and precise movements, the performance delves into how circus, as a discipline, only progresses when trust and mutual respect exist. The direction is by Iris Muñoz and Miguel Barreto, with music by Héctor Tirado, set design by Los reyes del Mambo, and photography by Javi Frechi.
Performances begin on 10 September 2026 at Espacio Inestable, a Valencian venue dedicated to innovative performing arts. Tickets are €10.
