An artistic look at Ruzafa’s memory
Ruzafa a Contraluz: Siluetas de resistencia y memoria vecinal is an exhibition that invites visitors to explore the history of Ruzafa through a visual language: silhouettes. These artistic pieces, created from testimonies, photographs, and objects contributed by locals, represent the traces of those who have lived, cared for, and defended the neighbourhood. The exhibition is on display at the Nave3 Ribes Cultural Centre throughout September 2026, and admission is free.
A project born from neighbourhood participation
The exhibition is the result of collaboration between Nube 7, a local artistic collective, and the Plataforma x Ruzafa, a neighbourhood association. Through participatory workshops, the oral history of the area has been gathered: stories of struggle, meeting spaces, and community initiatives that have helped shape its identity. The outcome is an exhibition that highlights collective work as a tool for preserving and passing on neighbourhood memory.
Nave3 Ribes: a space with history
The Nave3 Ribes Cultural Centre, located in Valencia’s Parque Central, is a building with an industrial past that has been refurbished to host cultural activities.
