The exhibition Parallel Figures
Tuesday to Friday gallery (San Pedro Pascual, 7) hosts Parallel Figures by Dutch artist Thomas Trum, a new instalment in his Parallel Lines series. The exhibition, which opened on 18 September as part of Abierto València 2026, runs until 30 October 2026. Trum works with a self-imposed constraint: his pieces are created exclusively using parallel lines drawn with a marker he designed himself. This seemingly simple method produces geometric compositions that play with perception, shifting between two and three dimensions.
A physical and mathematical process
Though Trum’s paintings are abstract, they follow a logical, almost mathematical system. Each line results from a physical movement by the artist, where any deviation is recorded in the final work. Planes fold, angles suggest volume, and linear structures create figures that challenge optical perception. Geometry is not merely represented—it is the direct consequence of the creative act.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday, 16:00 to 20:00, with free entry. The opening event on 18 September marked the start of the exhibition.
