Graham and Lisa Gingles in dialogue

On 4 September 2026, Blacklight gallery (Reina Na Germana, 20) will inaugurate Gingles & Gingles: Conversations, an exhibition presenting for the first time in Spain the work of Graham Gingles (Northern Ireland, 1943) and his daughter Lisa Gingles (Northern Ireland, 1974), who has been living in Valencia since 1998. The exhibition, which is free to attend, opens its doors at 18:30.

The works

Graham Gingles, a member of the Royal Ulster Academy, works across painting, drawing, and sculpture, creating worlds rich in symbolism and narrative. His work is part of collections such as the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). This exhibition marks his debut in Spain.

Lisa Gingles, meanwhile, explores drawing, collage, and sculpture, crafting hybrid figures and dreamlike landscapes that delve into mythology, folklore, and memory. Conversations invites a dialogue between their creative universes, where the familiar transforms into something unexpected.
