Screening of A Night of Knowing Nothing
Edificio Rialto presents the screening of the documentary A Night of Knowing Nothing, directed by Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia. The film, winner of the Golden Eye for Best Documentary at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival 2021, addresses the social and political conflicts affecting students at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Through a narrative blending fiction and documentary, the work explores themes such as racism, censorship, and police repression, using letters, black-and-white imagery, and an evocative soundtrack.
