A classic to open the season
The Associació Valenciana d’Empreses d’Arts Escèniques (AVETID) repeats its annual tradition with 'Les arts escèniques valencianes… COMENCEM!', the campaign marking the start of the performing arts season in the Valencian Community. Under the slogan «Aquesta temporada, l’escenari també és teu», the central event will take place on 14 September at Teatre El Musical (TEM), an iconic venue in El Cabanyal that will bring together the 53 companies associated with AVETID, sector entities, and institutional representatives.
What to expect from the event
This edition’s programme stands out for its culinary concert 'La gula', created by Eva Mir and Olga Hernández. A proposal blending gastronomy and performing arts, designed as the main course of an evening full of surprises. The event’s graphic design, by Laura Valero, reinforces the dynamism of Valencia’s scene, with a style that has become a hallmark of the campaign.
Beyond the event at the TEM, the 2026-2027 season promises a diverse programme: opera, zarzuela, lied, dance, symphonic concerts, baroque music, and flamenco, with special attention to free performances in public spaces. An opportunity to bring the performing arts to the streets and the general public.
A united sector
The initiative not only serves as a presentation of the new season but also as a meeting point for the sector. Companies, associations, and institutions will share space at the TEM, consolidating a tradition that, year after year, strengthens the role of Valencian performing arts in the cultural landscape.
