Exploring Movement with Laban Technique
Espai LaGranja in Burjassot will host the workshop “Iniciación a la Técnica Laban” from 8 to 12 July 2026, led by dancer and choreographer Paula Quintas. Organised by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC), this course offers a practical introduction to the principles developed by Rudolf Laban, focusing on movement analysis, improvisation, and their application in choreographic creation.
Over five daily sessions (10:00 to 14:00, totalling 20 hours), participants will explore key concepts such as the body’s relationship with space, energy management, and fluidity in movement. The workshop is designed to be accessible to both experienced dancers and beginners, provided they have a basic level of physical coordination.
Requirements and Access
The workshop is open to teenagers and adults aged 12 and over, with a limited capacity of 10 places to ensure personalised attention. Registration is free and done by emailing personal details to the address provided by the IVC. No enrolment fee is required, but attendance must be confirmed once the application is accepted.
