A workshop to rediscover the body as a creative tool
On 2 October 2026, Espai LaGranja in Burjassot hosts the workshop 'Instinct as a Creative Force' with choreographer and artist Roberto Oliván. This session, aimed at professionals and enthusiasts of the performing arts, invites participants to explore movement through instinct, viewing the body as a space for listening, creation, and expression. Oliván, known for his fusion of dance, physical theatre, and movement, will guide attendees on a journey toward a unique creative language, where intuition and connection with the environment take centre stage.
What can you expect?
The workshop focuses on breaking away from pre-established structures to delve into an organic creative process. Through group and individual dynamics, participants will engage in exercises that stimulate bodily awareness, improvisation, and the generation of performance material from instinct. This is not a conventional technical class but a transformative experience where the body becomes the primary ally for artistic exploration.
While the workshop is free to attend, there may be prerequisites (such as registration or prior experience in performing arts). We recommend checking the IVC’s official website for details on participation.
