An artistic perspective on freedom deprivation
Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) presents Cartografías de futuro. Cartas desde la prisión, a collective exhibition curated by Isabel Tejeda that reflects on freedom deprivation through works by artists linked to UPV and Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH). The exhibition, open from 12 September to 14 October 2026, is inspired by letters written by people in prison.
Participating artists
The exhibition features works by Natividad Navalón, Alejandro Mañas, Teresa Cháfer, Vicente Barón, Jaume Chornet (UPV) and Daniel Tejero, Javi Moreno, María José Zanón, De Albacete y Abaroa (UMH), along with a sound collaboration by José Bautista / Kanseisounds. The project is supported by Centro Penitenciario Castellón I and Fundación Obra Mercedaria.
