A silenced attack on stage
On 11 September 1981, two bombs exploded at Joan Fuster’s home in Sueca while the writer was talking with Vicent Salvador and Jaume Pérez Muntaner. Though the police report described it as "damage", all evidence pointed to a terrorist attack. Bomba va, bomba ve. Joan Fuster—a production by Companyia Teatre Micalet—explores this event through two young researchers reconstructing the first report by the Valencia Information Brigade, while Laura Sanchis’s voice recites Fuster’s texts, poems, and aphorisms.
Directed by Pep Sanchis, the show blends documentary theatre and historical memory, avoiding dramatic reenactments to focus on the facts and contradictions of the case. Songs from the era complete a production that aims to reclaim Fuster’s legacy and question how history is told—or concealed.
