A festival to explore science through cinema
Sala Big Bang presents the first edition of the Festival de Cine Big Bang, an event that combines screenings of science-themed films with spaces for dialogue and outreach. Over four days—12, 13, 19 and 20 September 2026—the festival will offer a programme focused on cinema as a tool to bring science closer to the general public.
Screenings and debates
Each day will begin at 16:00 with the screening of science outreach films. After the sessions, roundtable discussions and debates will be held with science experts, filmmakers and researchers. These activities aim to encourage reflection and the exchange of ideas among attendees, addressing both the content of the films and broader topics related to science outreach.
In addition, the festival will include the live recording of the podcast Las 3 patas del gato, a format that combines cinema, science and conversation, adding an interactive element to the event.
