Scientific Screenings and Debates
The Big Bang Film Festival makes its debut in Valencia in September 2026, offering a programme focused on scientific cinema and outreach. Over four days—12, 13, 19 and 20 September—Sala Big Bang will host screenings of films exploring scientific themes, followed by round tables and public debates.
Sessions will begin at 16:00, with doors opening at 15:30. After each screening, discussions will take place with guests from the worlds of cinema, science and communication, though specific names have yet to be announced. The festival will also feature a live recording of the podcast Las 3 patas del gato, which analyses cinema from a scientific perspective.
A Participatory Format
The festival aims to bring science to the general public through the language of cinema, blending entertainment and education. The selected films will tackle scientific topics, though the full list of titles will be revealed in the coming weeks.
