A cinema classic in its extended version
Valencia’s Filmoteca d’Estiu 2026 brings one of the most iconic films in cinema history to the city: Apocalypse Now Final Cut (1979), directed by Francis Ford Coppola. This 182-minute version restores the original cut with enhanced scenes that deepen the film’s surreal and war-torn atmosphere. Starring Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, and Martin Sheen, the movie is a psychological and visual journey through the Vietnam War, featuring unforgettable cinematography and a legendary soundtrack.

The screening will take place on 21 August 2026 at 22:30 in the Jardines del Palau de la Música, as part of the Un riu de cinema cycle at the Filmoteca d’Estiu. This event, running from 31 July to 29 August, transforms the space into an open-air cinema, showcasing a selection of classics in their original versions on the big screen.
