Concert programme and highlights
La Banda Simfònica Municipal de València (BSMV) kicks off its 2025-2026 season with a free concert at the TEM (Teatre El Musical) on 29 October 2026 at 19:30. This performance is part of the La Banda Municipal a tu Barrio cycle, an initiative that brings live music to different venues across Valencia, making symphonic repertoire accessible to all audiences.
The concert programme includes two notable premieres:
- Valencia premiere of Ramón Pastor’s band concerto, a contemporary work that expands the ensemble’s catalogue.
- Introduction of Baïburta to the band’s repertoire, reinforcing its commitment to composer-led music.
The concert lasts approximately 1 hour, and as entry is free, no prior booking is required. Access is subject to the venue’s capacity, so early arrival is recommended. For more details about the venue, check the TEM profile.
La Banda Simfònica Municipal: tradition and innovation
Founded in 1916, La Banda Simfònica Municipal de València is one of the city’s most iconic ensembles, with a repertoire spanning symphonic classics, contemporary music, pasodobles, and film scores. For its 2025-2026 season, the band will perform 25 concerts, including cycles at the Palau de la Música, open-air performances, and the La Banda Municipal a tu Barrio series, which this year brings this free concert to the TEM.
This project aims not only to promote Valencia’s musical heritage but also to encourage community engagement, making each performance an intimate and accessible experience.
