'Baunsbak': Contemporary Dance with Jumping Boots
On 26 September 2026, the XIV Bucles festival will host the contemporary dance piece 'Baunsbak', created and performed by Elvi Balboa, in Picassent. The performance will take place at 12:30 in the Plaza de la Ermita de Picassent, as part of the Red Acieloabierto programme, which brings dance performances to public spaces.
Details of the Piece
'Baunsbak' is a work in which dancer Elvi Balboa uses jumping boots—spring-loaded boots—to explore movement between inertia and balance. The floor acts as a resonator, and the sound generated by the jumps is captured and transformed in real time, becoming part of the choreography. The piece lasts 22 minutes.
Admission is free, but advance reservation is required, according to the festival’s official information.
