A scenic proposal about the gaze
The Museu de Belles Arts de Valencia hosts A ojo on 30 September 2026, a contemporary dance piece created by Carmen Fumero and Dácil González as part of the XIV Bucles cycle. The work starts from the idea of "seeing at a glance" to explore how our perception is conditioned by others' gazes and the filters we apply when observing reality.
The experience
A ojo is not a conventional choreography: it turns perception into the driving force of the experience. Through delicate movements and a staging that plays with cracks and shifts in perspective, the creators invite the audience to question what they consider obvious. The piece delves into the different ways of looking and being looked at, generating an intimate dialogue between the spectator and the scene.
