Two Bands, One Journey Between Reggae and Mod
On 3 October 2026, the venue 16 Toneladas will become the stage for a meeting between two musical proposals that revive classic sounds with a contemporary twist. Steady Rockers and Smart Dress will share the bill for a night where Jamaican reggae from the 60s and the mod revival of the 80s and 90s come together.
Steady Rockers, known for their ability to reinterpret classic reggae and early reggae, stand out for their cohesion live and their skill in transforming traditional rhythms into modern pieces without losing their original essence. Their performance is a masterclass in technical precision and freshness, perfect for lovers of the most authentic Jamaican sounds.
Meanwhile, Smart Dress is a project born with the aim of reviving the anthems of the Spanish mod scene from the 80s and 90s. Made up of musicians from Madrid, Vitoria, Valencia, and Jerez, the band has consolidated a coherent sound that blends nostalgia with modernity. While their setlist includes tracks from their early days, they also incorporate new songs and are working on a new EP, proving their project goes beyond a simple exercise in memory.
