On 3 October 2026, Carme Teatre in Valencia will host Los Nikis de la Pradera, a group featuring musicians from legendary Spanish pop and rock bands like Los Nikis, Los Vegetales, Ataque de Caspa, and Los Ronaldos. The concert is part of XIV Bucles, a festival that champions bold live music proposals.
From the Ramones to Country: The Evolution of Los Nikis de la Pradera
For decades, the members of this band were devoted fans of the Ramones, but their current project has taken an unexpected turn: they’ve swapped distortion for acoustic guitars and punk for country, without losing their irreverent edge. Arturo Pérez, Rafa Cabello, Joaquín Rodríguez, Mauro Canut, Nacho Biosca, and Ricardo Moreno—all with backgrounds in seminal bands—have crafted a unique sound that blends humour, irony, and sharp social critique.
'Llorica': Country with a Bite
In their second album, Llorica, Los Nikis de la Pradera explore themes like new masculinity, toxic relationships, loneliness in the digital age, Tinder, and the absurdity of everyday life. With a style that oscillates between country and rock, the album—38 minutes long—is a reflection on contemporary society, wrapped in catchy, sarcastic songs.
The concert at Carme Teatre will be a chance to hear these tracks live, where humour and social critique go hand in hand. If you’re interested in the venue, check out more details on the Carme Teatre page.
