On 24 October 2026, the Auditori Joan Plaça at the Jardí Botànic of the Universitat de València will host a unique concert as part of the Voluntari Jazz cycle, organised by Sedajazz. The Latino Blanco Quartet, led by saxophonist Francisco Blanco “Latino”, will pay tribute to 1950s cool jazz, an elegant and chamber-music-inspired style that has established the group as a benchmark in Valencia’s jazz scene.
The quartet, known for its distinctive piano-free line-up, has performed in over a hundred venues, blending technical precision with the warmth of accessible yet sophisticated jazz. The concert, starting at 19:30, is part of a broader programme celebrating volunteering, merging music and social commitment under the cycle’s ethos.
The Voluntari Jazz 2026 cycle runs until December with other highlights, such as the Batalla de Big Bands or the Benijazz Big Band concert. However, the Latino Blanco Quartet stands out for its intimate approach and deep connection to the roots of modern jazz. A chance to enjoy a concert in a unique setting where nature and music come together.
