A concert between two shores
On 30 September 2026, the Clàssica a la Cambra cycle at La Rambleta hosts Cámara 100%, a concert by Dúo Atlántico exploring the musical dialogue between Spain and Central America. The project, created in 2022 with support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), has toured stages in Spain, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru. For this occasion, trumpeter Alexis Morales and pianist Calia Alonso will perform a programme featuring works by Xavier Montsalvatge (Cinco canciones negras), Manuel de Falla (Siete canciones populares españolas), and a contemporary piece by Costa Rican composer Marvin Camacho, written specifically for the duo.
Repertoire: tradition and creation
Under the title Songs and Vignettes. Two Shores, the concert offers a sonic journey that transforms the trumpet into a voice capable of conveying emotions without words. Alongside works by Montsalvatge and Falla, the duo will perform a selection of traditional music from Mexico and Guatemala, as well as Camacho’s composition, which brings a modern perspective to the repertoire. The result is a performance that combines virtuosity, memory, and colour.
