TimeLapse: A Dialogue Between Jazz and Tradition
MuVIM opens its annual concert series with TimeLapse, a recital bringing together trumpeter David Pastor, pianist Francesc Capella, and double bassist Thomas Kent Warburton. Part of the 2026 edition of Concerts al MuVIM, the programme offers a fresh take on classical and contemporary pieces, reimagined with new rhythms and timbres. This concert launches a series that, until November, will explore everything from Elizabethan music to modern sacred compositions, blending historical rigour with experimentation.
Concert Details
The event takes place on Sunday 27 September at 12:00 PM in the museum’s auditorium. Admission is free, with tickets distributed on the day from 11:00 AM at the Information Point in the lobby, on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. No advance bookings are permitted.
The trio will perform a repertoire featuring adaptations of well-known works, creating a bridge between jazz and chamber music. Internationally acclaimed David Pastor leads the ensemble alongside Capella and Kent, both with distinguished careers on the Valencian and European music scenes.

Concerts al MuVIM celebrates its 25th edition this year, establishing itself as a key venue for classical and contemporary music in Valencia. Curated by the museum, the programme includes monthly recitals by renowned performers, always with free entry and limited to the auditorium’s capacity.
